ADR 1.3 training must match the employee's functions relating to dangerous goods transport. What matters is what the person actually does, not just their job title.
Who might need it?
Staff preparing consignment information, packers, loading and unloading staff, warehouse staff and others whose tasks involve dangerous goods. The company must identify their functions and training needs.
What does the training cover?
General awareness, function-specific requirements and safety knowledge relevant to the actual tasks. The start of independent work, supervision, refresher training and record-keeping must be organised under the applicable provisions. A single standard duration or test pass percentage is not in itself a universal ADR 1.3 requirement.
What does this training not replace?
An ADR driver training certificate, a safety adviser qualification or a vehicle approval certificate, where these are required. A record of an employee's familiarisation does not authorise them to carry out every type of ADR operation.
How is the service commissioned?
Staff training and additional consultations are agreed separately. Additional work costs 50 € + VAT per hour; before starting, we discuss staff functions, scope and time. The procedure package is used as part of a working system, not as evidence that training has taken place.
